42. If there are limits on the amount a candidate can spend, what is the limit?

Le plafond des dépenses pour l'élection des députés est de 38 000 euros par candidat. Il est majoré de 0,15 euro par habitant de la circonscription.

Electoral expenses are capped according to different formulas which vary pursuant to the type of election (national, regional or local) and the population of the constituency concerned. For parliamentary elections, candidates can spend a fixed amount of EUR 38,000 plus EUR 0,15 for each inhabitants registered in their respective constituency.
