Functionsof multiparty liaison committee

The functions of a multiparty liaison committee shall be—

(a)   to hear and attempt to resolve anydisputes, concerns, matters or grievances relating to the electoral process, including in particular anydisputes arising from allegations concerning non-compliance with the Code

TheElectoral Act (Chapter 2:13, 160A-160D) sets up structures to manage conflictbetween political parties contesting any elections through the establishmentand functioning of multiparty liaison committees which are tasked with dealingwith enforcement of the Code laid out in the Fourth Schedule. Code statesclearly that: Parties and candidates must accept the result of an election orchallenge the result by due process of law.
