Offencesunder the Penal Code of Bhutan
564.Any act or omission which is an offence under the Penal Code of Bhutan shall bedeemed to be an offence under this Act if committed in relation to any activityconnected with the preparation or revision of an Electoral Roll or conduct ofan election and be punishable with the same penalty as prescribed under thePenal Code of Bhutan. Provided the Election Commission may, notwithstanding theprovisions related to any specific penalties in this Act and based on thegravity of the offence, resort to appropriate administrative measuresincluding:
(a)Warning;
(b)Forfeiture;
(c)Fine;
(d)Public Reprimand;
(e)Restraining Order;
(f)Cancellation of Candidature;
(g)Nullification of Election Results; and
(h)Deregistration of a Political Party
