CHAPTER ELEVEN

Penalties for violations of the electorallegislation and jurisdiction and procedures for complaint and disputeresolution

Article 53. Penalties for violations of election legislation

53.1.Administrative liability set forth in this Law shall be imposed on a violatorof the electoral legislation.

53.2.In the event action or inaction leading to the violation of the electorallegislation is of criminal nature, criminal liability specified in 79 the Criminal Law shall be imposed on the violator.

53.3.In the event material or other damage is caused to others due to violation ofthe electoral legislation in the course of election activities, liabilityspecified in the Civil Law and other applicable laws shall be imposed on theviolator.

53.4.Imposition of administrative liability on a person for a violation specified inthis Law shall not be deemed grounds releasing him/her from criminal liability.
