32(b): Legislative authority is vested in the King and National Assembly in accordance with the Constitution.
51: The National Assembly consists of two chambers: the Consultative Council and the Chamber of Deputies.
42 (a): The King shall issue the orders for elections to the Chamber of Deputies in accordance with the provisions of the law.
Legislative Decree No. 14 of 2002 - The Law of the Shura Council and the Parliament
20: The candidate with the outright majority of votes will be elected as member of Parliament. If this majority is not achieved by any of the candidates in the constituency, then any person with equal number of votes, he will also stand in the re-run. In this case, the person taking the most votes in the re-run will be the winner.
Election Guidelines (issued by the Directorate of Election and Referendum)
Chapter 5, no. 4: The candidate with the outright majority of votes will be elected as member of the Council of Representatives [Chamber of Deputies]. If this majority is not achieved by any of the candidates in the constituency, then a re-election will be held between the two members receiving the highest number of votes, in this case the person taking the most votes in the re-election will be the winner.
