Article 282. 1. Anyperson who forges, falsifies, removes or destroys an electoral register,
any person who participates in an election or a vote,or signs a request for a referendum or an initiative without authority, and
any person who falsifies the results of an election orvote or a petition requesting a referendum or initiative, in particular byadding, altering, omitting, deleting ballot papers or signatures, counting themincorrectly or incorrectly certifying the result,
is liable to a custodial sentence not exceeding threeyears or to a monetary penalty.
2. Ifthe offender acts in official capacity, the penalty is a custodial sentence notexceeding three years or to a monetary penalty of not less than 30 dailypenalty units. The custodial sentence may be combined with a monetary penalty.
Article282. bis Vote catching
Anyperson who systematically collects, completes or alters ballot papers, ordistributes ballot papers which have been completed or altered in this way isliable to a fine.
