Bulgaria is experiencing steadily raising temperatures, with all related impacts, and its public opinion is favorable to stronger climate action. At the same time, the country's coal plants are among the highest emitters in the region and Bulgaria has not adopted 2030 and 2050 carbon emissions targets yet (Climate Change Performance Index).
