Oman Voluntary National Review 2024
In order to document its integrated efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, the Sultanate of Oman presents the second voluntary national report this year, coinciding with the three years since the launch of Oman Vision 2040, which is the gateway of the Sultanate of Oman and its starting point towards achieving sustainable development goals , keeping pace with regional and global changes, and investing in opportunities to enhance economic competitiveness, social welfare, and financial and environmental sustainability, by achieving comprehensive, balanced and sustainable development that reflects the established values of Omani society that are based on the principles of Peace, dialogue, coexistence, sustainability and justice. The Sultanate of Oman is keen to provide an enabling environment supportive of the achievement of the goals of sustainable development 2030, through the development of the administrative apparatus, the advancement of government work, the creation of institutions concerned with improving the decision-making process, and measuring institutional performance, to integrate the concept of sustainable development into the decision-making system, programs, projects and initiatives that support development, and to increase the degree of coordination with the private sector and civil society to raise its contribution to achieving sustainable development. The report detailed the roles of these new institutions.
