E-voting has been put on hold and has not been used in any forms during 2019 elections. According to officials, e-voting practices need further tests and developments. Swiss abroad can also cast their vote in person (Art. 18 para. 3 SSA). However, they have to come to Switzerland and vote in the polling station of their electoral commune.
