Elections a Human Right! - Exhibit

November 24, 2015

During the past 12 months, International IDEA has been showcasing the electoral processes exhibition during particular events and conferences in the Americas, Europe and Africa.

The educational exhibition includes four displays and an interactive component designed to introduce the world of elections as well as International IDEA’s work on electoral processes to the general public and stakeholders.

The message is primarily that elections are a universal human right, as stipulated in Article 21 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and that elections today are very frequently compared to the past. The exhibition also illustrates that an election is a huge operation for a country and the national authority in charge of organizing the election typically starts with preparations several years ahead of election day.

Moreover the exhibition provides a glimpse into the various needs and challenges related to electoral processes taking place in complex and evolving environments, followed by how International IDEA supports the electoral integrity of elections.

Please have a look at the soft version of the exhibition yourself in either English or Spanish.

Any general questions or enquiries in terms of showcasing the exhibition can be directed to the elections team at International IDEA, Stockholm, Sweden via elections
