Staff training on CompTIA A+ and CompTIA Network for Bhutan’s e-Parliament initiative

Date
28 August 2019 - 06 September 2019
Time
09:00 to 17:00
Location
New Delhi

As part of the initiative on the e-Parliament strategy, specialised consultants and stakeholders recommended the Parliament of Bhutan to build a series of focussed, high-impact services which will overtime led to an adaptive and evolving e-Parliament. The primary recommendation entails a significant investment in people and a local ICT capability.

As the Parliament prepares for the usage of digital devices in its Plenary Sessions in the near future, the upgradation of the existing infrastructure to accommodate the installation of device and Wireless Access Points of sufficient quality to provide a positive user experience for Members of Parliament is being assessed. Because of the increased volume of documents and information to be handled by the ICT staffs, cyber security will be paramount importance. Thus it is strongly recommended that all ICT staffs become certified in CompTIA A+ and CompTIA Network+ with certification.

To do this, the staff of the National Council of Bhutan and National Assembly of Bhutan along with one staff from the Ministry of Information and Communication (MOIC) are attending the training on CompTIA A+ and CompTIA Network+ with certification in New Delhi from the 27 August to 6 September 2019.
