Additional Information

At least 30% of the candidates in the list must be women (Resolution No. 74/VIII/09)

However, the regulation fails to reach the target of 30% representation of women in Parliament.

It is important the role played by the NWPA-CPLP (Network of Women at the Parliamentary Assembly of the Portuguese-speaking Countries, which is fighting for the increasement of women representation in Parliament (Costa, 2018).
