Areas of work:

• Information: The KOFF monthly electronic Newsletter reports on activities of the Center for Peacebuilding, Swiss governmental and non-governmental organisations, and of international partner organisations. The KOFF InfoSheets are published occasionally and offer succint, practice-oriented information on central issues of civil peacebuilding. They also report on current discussion processes in and around the Center for Peacebuilding. KOFF publishes in-depth studies and reports on selected countries and topics. Lastly, the KOFF website offers a wealth of information on countries, topics, players, resources and events.
• Advice: KOFF advises its members on methodology issues and supports them in planning and evaluating peace-building and development cooperation programmes as well as humanitarian aid programmes in conflict zones.
• Networking: KOFF organises roundtables and workshops on priority countries (currently South Eastern Europe, Israel/Palestine, Sudan, Angola, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, and Guatemala) and on priority topics (currently Dealing with the Past and Reconciliation, Gender and Peacebuilding, Peacebuilding & International Cooperation, and Tools and Conflict Sensitive Approaches to Development). These events are designed to network governmental and non-governmental civil peace building players. KOFF puts its members in touch with leading players and experts in peace building both locally and abroad.
• Training: KOFF provides training courses both independently and in cooperation with partner organisations on selected civil peace building topics.
