Title: Democracy Program

This program started in 2003 with the publication of a regional (East Africa) report on democracy and how each of the countries are faring in democratic reforms. it ios the first ever program to assess democracy development at a regional level and on a comparative basis. it uses IDEA SOD Assessment model.


Title: Human Rights Training

Project description:
This program is aimed at supporting acquisition of basic human rights knowledge and skills by a cross section of Eastern African Actors as a basis for creating a human rights culture. This program is structured around 21 short courses in human rights, democracy, good governance and conflict management for various actors both in government, civil society and private sector.


Title: Reconciliation and Democratic Dialogue in Kenya after 2007 general Elections

Project description:
This project is intended to engender democratic dialogue as a basis for national reconciliation after the disputed 2007 general elections and the inter-ethnic violence that ensued. This project intends to support the implementation of Agenda 4 item on national Dialogue and Reconciliation as provided in the national Accord brokered by Dr. Kofi Annan the chief Mediator in the Kenyan process.
