International IDEA’s workshop ‘Towards a Global Framework for Management and
Mitigation of Election-related Conflict and Violence’ gathered some of the key global,
regional and national organizations and practitioners working in the field of electionrelated
conflict and violence as well as organizations working on election assistance,
security, crisis management and mediation issues. The workshop provided an
opportunity for peer review of existing methodologies and materials, many of which are
not publicly available due to their sensitive and confidential nature.
