The constitution of any country defines the institutions by which that country governs itself, and indeed the relationship between the citizens of the country and its institutional framework. As such, it is a fundamentally political document, establishing the rights and duties of citizens and state institutions, and reflecting also the way in which society wishes itself to be governed.
