Verdad, Justicia y Reparación: desafíos para la Democracia y la Convivencia Social

In cooperation with the Inter-American Institute of Human Rights, International IDEA has just released its new publication: 'Verdad, Justicia y Reparación: desafíos para la Democracia y la Convivencia Social' (“Truth, Justice and Reparations: challenges for democracy and social coexistence”), launched on 27 July 2005 in Costa Rica. The book, based on five national case studies - Argentina, Chile, El Salvador, Guatemala and Peru – aims to re-launch the debate on reconciliation and democratization in Latin America. It focuses on the relationship between processes of reconciliation and agendas for democratization in the region and is therefore taking forward the analysis contained in IDEA’s Handbook on Reconciliation after Violent Conflict.
