We, Guido’s friends and former colleagues at International IDEA have gathered today at our Headquarters in Stockholm to remember him and share the grief. Guido chose a challenging professional career all geared towards making the world a safer, more humane and more democratic place, and he gave his life to that cause. Everyone who worked with Guido knew him as a wonderful and caring colleague, hard-working, open-minded and sparkling with new ideas, but also, always willing to help and support his colleagues. It was a privilege to have known him.
