Regional Recommendations

In addition to the general conclusions, some region-specific policy conclusions and recommendations emerged in the different consultations and are presented in five separate regional chapters.

The authors of these chapters were present at the International IDEA consultation conferences in the respective regions, and they have summarized the key messages coming out, not only of the conference, but also from the wealth of material found in the discussion papers and interviews that were part of International IDEA's consultations. The regional chapters are part of the full report.

Discussion Papers

International IDEA has commissioned a number of discussion papers by regional authors to highlight some specific aspects of the EU's policies and actions in the different regions. The discussion papers cover a wide range of issues, providing opportunities for cross-thematic or cross-regional analyses.
