Experience: Before joining IDEA, Mr Catón worked as a research associate and assistant professor at the University of Heidelberg, focusing mainly on electoral systems, party systems and democratization. He has published extensively on these topics and has also worked as an international consultant.
Education: Mr Catón studied Political Science, Economics and History at the University of Heidelberg and the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (Santiago). He holds an M.A. in Political Science and is about to complete his Ph.D.
