Pablo Schatz

Former Programme Officer for Latin America and the Caribbean

Pablo Schatz is a former Programme Officer in the Latin America and the Caribbean Regional Office since 2017.

Schatz’s research and work focused on promoting sustainable democracy in Latin America, with a special interest on political finance, fight against corruption and the intersections between democratic participation and effective natural resource governance. 

Schatz’s previous work experience includes managing an international cooperation programme, conducting policy research and providing political advise at the Australian Embassy in Santiago, accredited to Chile, Colombia, Ecuador and Venezuela. Prior to that, he worked for the government of the City of Buenos Aires as a legal and policy adviser, and collaborated with non-profit organizations.

In 2012, he was awarded an Australian Development Scholarship to start a master’s level studies in Australia.
